Reprieve By A.E Woodward Book Review and Blog tour

Title: Reprieve

Author: A.E. Woodward

Genre: Dark Romance

Release Date: September 29, 2015

My drug of choice was heroin.

Until they put me here against my will.

At the time it was my only viable choice.

I preferred stumbling through life numb to it all.

But now I’m here, and every sound and every emotion is heightened to a level I never knew existed.

Then somehow, in a moment of weakness it became all about him.

He makes me feel things I never thought possible.

I thought he was my antidote, but it turns out that he’s just my new drug of choice.

There are many things we can be addicted to and there are plenty of people who suffer from one addiction or another. In this story we meet Teagan who is close to death because of her addiction. We learn just how far and how low Teagan has gone to get her fix. Asher was also an addict who somehow found a way to get over his addiction and now tries to help others get over their addiction if they want to. Can Asher be just what Teagan needs, Can he find a way to get through to Teagan? Can Teagan find a way to get past her addiction or are the skeletons in her closet just too much for her to bare ?

Let me start off by telling you that this story is not your typical romance story. Is it even possible to be able to find romance between an addict and a former addict ? In this story there are quite a few dark moments that have you holding your breath and praying and hoping for the best. What I loved about this story is that it provides you with the past and present time so you can fully understand what happened in Teagan’s life that got her to that moment. You start to understand Teagan more, or at least I did.

I thought this story was very well done. I could clearly picture everything in the story happening to someone and them going through all these motions and reading this story made it seem so real for me that for quite a few moments I would forget that it was just a story and it didn’t happen in real life. This author has a way with words that get you to feel what the characters feel and are going through. It makes it seem so real that you just get lost in the book and suffer and rejoice with the characters in the book. That to me makes for a very good book and that is exactly what this book was. It was a very good book, even through its dark moments and because of its dark and raw moments in time.

A.E. lives in Vacationland with her husband and two children. Between her real job and writing she finds little time to enjoy life’s finer things. However in the free time she does manage to steal, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and reading. A.E. is the co-author of CAUGHT and the author of Kismet, Working Girl and A Series of Imperfections: Imperfectly Perfect, Imperfectly Real, and Imperfectly Bad. Reprieve is her latest release.

Book Review: Stuck in Between by Blakely Bennett

* This ARC was provided for an honest review*

I only have two words to explain this book BEYOND HOT!!!! By seeing the front of the cover I already expected some sort of love triangle or menage a trois to be happening but what I didn’t expect was how hooked I would be on this book and could not put this book down. I simply cannot wait til the rest of the series comes out.

Now that I got all of your attention let me give you a little bit of the storyline. Jacqs has been in love with Bond for over 8 years. Bond has some sort of feelings for Jacqs too but he can’t commit to just her. Jacqs cant handle not being the only woman in his life and lets him know that she will no longer be with him if he can’t commit to her. By chance when Bond sends his best friend Red to pick up Jacqs, Red confesses to Jacqs that he has had feelings for her for many years. Jacqs always thought that Red hated her but that it not so..that is farther from the truth. Do you think Bond will let Jacqs go so easily or will he commit to Jacqs? Will Jacqs give Bond another try or find out what could be with Red? I guess you will have to read the book to find out….. Stuck in between has some great characters too. They seem like a great group of friends and I can’t wait to read more on the other characters storyline. Jacqs best friend Lainie has a secret of her own and I am dying to find out what is going on with her. Jacqs sister Samantha goes through a tough time but it is great to see her do better. I would love to read more about her too. I cannot recommend this book enough. It is beautifully written. The descriptive writing has you thinking you are in the middle of it all. Blakely Bennett has become one of my favorite authors now. Trust me you will not be disappointed in the least!!! I am impatiently waiting for the rest of the series to find out about the rest of the characters in this thrilling series. His Secrets

His Secrets (Inside Out, #3.1)His Secrets by Lisa Renee Jones
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC Provided by NetGalley for an honest review

If you have read the Inside out series you will know that this e-novella is a must have. His secrets starts out where Revealing Us left off. Sara and Chris are engaged and everything seems finally right. Don’t get too comfortable thinking everything is going to be perfect because it seems Chris hasn’t told all his secrets to Sara quite yet. In this book we learn to understand Chris more.

We get to learn more about Amber and Tristan and Isabel. Will these three people play a part in whether Chris and Sara make it together or not? Will Sara stay with Chris once she find out more of the secrets he has been holding back?

I highly recommend reading His secrets it doesn’t disappoint. The only thing I have to complain is that I wish it had more pages because I finished reading it right away and I am anxiously waiting for the next book to come out!!! His Secrets might be a quick read but it bags a lot of punch. I think it is a must have especially If you have been keeping up with the inside out series. I have not been so addicted to a series since the crossfire series by Sylvia Day and Lisa Renee Jones is definitely up to par with some of the hottest series out there.
